Vilaart // Albert Vila
Illustrator and writer based in Barcelona. He developed his artistic studies at Joso school and the Barcelona Academy of Art. Since then he has been working as a freelancer. In (2013) he made his first exhibition "Invisible Masters", focusing on those writers who marked his steps since he can remember, those who somehow have guided him and where he mis his two passions, writing and illustration. In 2015 he made his second exhibition "Via Abrupta" where through pencil and watercolor was entering one of the aspects of oriental culture that most passionate him, the Zen, giving his views on this form of meditation as practiced in East and as growing interest in Western countries.
Since then he has combined orders for companies such as TV3, with different exhibitions and personal projects.
His work, both in drawing and writing always seeks to find a story either explicit or subtle. Pencil and watercolor are its main tools, and those used in most of his works, some times using different digital techniques to finish.
As a writer, he is the author of several short stories and co-author of the historical fiction novel "Operation Svastika"
